"Really, who needs vowels? Wiremnky's name is only the beginning of the group's uniqueness. Fresh Cold Cuts: the Delicatessen Remixes offers a wacky mixture of electronica, dance, and trip-hop music with lofty melodic vocals."

"These fresh cold cuts are fairly delicious and meaty...wiremnky's work is a mouth-watering experience for any listener."

Cold Cuts covers old ground with a twist

"The only difference between Wiremnky's style and that of typical dance music is that this album has much more vocals. Well, technically they're vocals, but in reality the sounds that come from vocalist Bare Wire are just musical notes, not words, blended in with the surrounding beats.

"The interesting thing about this album is its purpose. It's a remix by Wiremnky of the record from Bare Wire titled 'Delicatessen.' The project encompassed Wiremnky taking the vocals from 'Delicatessen,' putting completely new and different music behind them, and creating this new album.

"The layout of the songs is typical to the average song, with verses and a chorus, but the tracks just lack words. Bare Wire does have a very intriguing voice that blends well with the music... any well-traveled music fan will notice her similarity to Dolores O'Riordan of The Cranberries, making the album a little more strange.

"Overall, the CD is one of contrast. The music tends to be energized and uplifting, while the accompanying vocal notes usually are dark and depressing...

"This album would be a decent addition to any dance lover's CD collection..."

"It seems like more and more artists are attempting to make a transition from their original genre of music into electronica. The hybrid product is usually some awkwardly harmonious music -- and like a mule is the product of a donkey and a horse, you pray that it can't reproduce. But Wiremnky's CD, although not a shift from another musical genre into techno, is the sound that most musicians seem to be reaching for when they intermingel into electronic music. This CD stands out because of its haunting vocals. It's an ultra-feminine voice that can belt out lounging lyrics with ease. Her voice is only enhanced by the ethic-tronica -- this isn't white-bread music. Like other techno compilations, each track trails into the next, making for an even smoother mix and laid-back tunes. This is a new voice in electronica, giving more vocal depth to a scene dominated by hard-hitting beats. A refreshing change, especially for those who have been looking for music that doesn't sound like it's been computer generated."

review of A cuts: Court Adjournment, Court Adjournment (original mix), Dirt, and Seaweed

"Hmmmm....goth meets turntabalism. Potentially a cheezy mix, but this works. I like her voice. The beats are interesting. Not 4/4...not traditional breaks. They feel as if they are stumbling, but keep moving forward in time. It's a forward inertia, like walking, it's a constant battle to not fall, but one progresses. Track two: reminescent of Holly McNarland. The kind of thing that you would listen to after being jilted by an overpassonate lover, sitting in a room lit only by blacklight; chain-smoking clove cigarettes until your spine stops tingling and you eventually break down, releasing the emotion. Track three: a bit Milli Vanilli. Her voice waxes bagpipe-like. Track 4: flows...interesting range on her voice. It soars then swoops down to a husky tone. touch of Depeche Mode......touch of Perfume Tree. I must say that the first two tracks are my favorite. "

"Bare Wire and Wiremnky joined forces against traditional music in the creation of this record. Wiremnky, with the help of Bare Wire, has transformed a set of previously recorded Bare Wire songs into an album of very danceable music.

"Wiremnky is a TripHop and Drum N' Bass specialist. He not only produces fast beats with drums and bass, but pays particular attention to melody and psychedelica. The works of Wiremnky are both influenced by, and enjoyed by, fans of groups such as Nine Inch nails, Depeche Mode and Parliament.

"...with a dramatic voice Bare Wire belts out line after line of powerfully sorrowful music. Upon first hearing the songs Cranberries came into mind. Others consider the work of Bare Wire comparable to those of famous artists such as Tori Amos, Jewel and Enya.

"Remixing the songs of Bare Wire was a tedious process handled with much devotion. Bare Wire worked alongside Wiremnky to assure a level of quality both parties were satisfied with. The product was a whole new set of songs, not simply alterations of the previous recordings.

"This album is my first encounter with Bare Wire and Wiremnky. I have not heard each individually, only this collaboration. I was thoroughly impressed by the beats, which definitely give off a dance aura..."

"Bare Wire's previous work under the Bare Wire moniker, Delicatessen, was a collection of stark vocals mixed with the occasional airy synth notes droning in the background. The music was never the draw to that disc, it was Bare Wire's powerful vocals and intense subject matter. She crafted a body of work that stood well on its own.

"Insert Wiremnky here. He took Bare Wire's Delicatessen, with its intense vocals, and gave it a soul - in this case, smooth electronic music that seems to mesh perfectly with the vocals, almost like they were written together. His electronic orchestrations never draw attention to themselves, instead they only emphasize her lyrics all the more.

"The culmination of this seemingly perfect match is Eristikos' newest release, Fresh Cold Cuts. The music and lyrics come together so perfectly, its difficult to classify it merely as a remix of Delicatessen. Its a good electronic album - a little bit ambient, a little bit trance, a little bit dance. I'll take the Cold Cuts example to extremes here - the music is a bit of ham, a bit of pastrami, a bit of salami. Separate they're ok, but together they all seem to share flavors and tastes. Thats the best description of the music here.

"In the end, its an excellent album to sit in the dark and listen to with headphones. Light a candle, turn down the lights, and just listen, and let Bare Wire and Wiremnky take you on a journey. It won't be a happy one, but what fun would that be?" -- Mike
